Cleveland.com covered Small Businesses Against Tariffs’ new education campaign running across Ohio and six other states amid the US-Canada trade war, timed for the start of football season:
Going blue: With football season in full swing, an anti-tariff group is launching a $1 million billboard and digital ad campaign in Ohio and six other states that argues that President Donald Trump’s tariffs are even worse than That Team Up North. “What’s worse than Michigan? Tariffs,” the Ohio billboards read (with alternate wording used in other states). The nonpartisan nonprofit behind the ads, Small Businesses Against Tariffs, is funded by the Defending Democracy Together Institute, part of a Washington-based network founded by anti-Trump conservatives such as commentator Bill Kristol and Republican strategist Sarah Longwell.
